This was our first visit to the property so I cannot comment on what is being changed but it looked like a major overall/upgrade is being done throughout the hotel and casino and is about 70% done. As soon as we arrived at the hotel, we could tell that major construction was still ongoing. Reservation process was smooth and easy over the phone. I had an excellent deal thru Groupon that included two nights and a $60 credit for dining/entertainment. I just spent the last two nights in a Premium Creek Tower Room at the Harrah's Casino in Cherokee, NC. They reluctantly gave a police report to us. They just assume you will more than happy to make a special trip to come pick one up. You must insist on it, especially if you are from out of town. Just in case you do take the risk of valet parking & this happens to you, don't expect the police to willingly give you an accident report. This made the trip very stressful & we did not have a good time at all. After they showed me my car, I witnessed these drivers driving like bats out of h*ll. True these things do happen when valet drivers drive 30 to 40 miles an hour in the garage. We were told 'these things happen.' Well they don't pay my bills, I pay thiers. Not even a letter of apoligy has been mailed to us. Harrahs insurance did cover the damage of course. He was coming around a corner and another valet driver hit the passenger side of my car denting it in from the door & all the way back. 3 days b 4 X-mas we valeted our new Dodge Challenger and the valet driver decided it needed a make-over. My husband & I have been coming for over 10 years. No free drinks, service was okay, nothing to write home about but if you want an in between trip and close to home it will satisfy you. Overall it’s not the best or the worst casino I’ve ever been to but you definitely know you’re in between. I ate lunch a Johnny Rockets and it seemed a little pricey but when you have no other options you just eat it. Anyway Paula Deen’s restaurant was there and to se seemed expensive but I’ve eaten at her place before and wasn’t impressed so I passed. A few people on my bus won a couple of 1200 jackpots and had a nice time so the previous reviews about the slots being tight may not be that true, when your luck is on it’s on when it’s not just know when to stop like I did. I took a bus trip up Saturday AM and played the slots which were not as loose as others I’ve played from Reno, Vegas and Biloxi but were okay.

Therefore this trip will not include a hotel review because I didn’t sleep over.
